Wireless Charge Cards

As if life couldn't get easier for us fellow Americans, major wireless telecom companies in link with some of the top credit card companies suggest an easier way to buy groceries, or pay for just about anything. It's not convenient enough anymore for some of us to simply swipe our credit cards, shop for clothes, services, and or groceries online. Soon, it maybe possible for us to simply swipe our cell phones. Well not exactly swipe; but, pay for our goods using our cell phones. More like a payment network that is wireless. This revolutionary invention is referred to as Wireless Charge Card or Mobile Charge Card. Clever, right? The way it will work is by allowing cell phone customer who wish to have the service an option to buy and download software onto their phones. The customer will then store in the phones memory, bank account information and credit card information. Once at a store, when the customer is ready to purchase goods, he or she will push corresponding buttons on their phone to select payment options: which include, paying with credit, direct draft from bank or charging to their wireless phone bill. The store will have a wireless server which communicates with the phone. The servers log than sends the details of the purchase to the credit card processing center, phone carrier or the bank.
Nevertheless, this revolutionary invention is one that has not yet been approved nor tested completely in the United States. Though, mobile credit cards is away of life in foreign countries, such as Asia and we're not far behind.
Companies such as, Sprint have been collaborating the idea of wireless check cards for awhile and hope to implement it soon. Hewlett-Packard, PayCircle and Lucent Technologies, are a few of the companies that have decided to play with the idea and develop their brand of mobile-commerce systems preparing for what might be the future.
It is no surprise that an advancement in technology like wire less charge cards have brought up concerns; such as:

Will there be security and risk?
Will there be additional charges if a customer decides to use their wireless charge cards?
Will such a technology bring up the price of cell phones that are compatible even if the customer chooses not to utilize the service?

Some believe these are valid issues. Security and Risk is always a concern when using any credit card payment method. In order to fund the service of wireless charge cards, we may be right to assume that somebody plans on making big bucks with the extra charges. Like any advancement in cell phone technology the cost of cell phones are most likely to rise.
Though, our concerns are valid and reasonable, there are great advantages to having such a service:

Convenience- Most of us hate the process of searching through our purses or wallets for credit cards, cash or checks. Then swiping our cards over and over again in frequently used credit card machines and after answering 20 questions.

Privacy- With your Mobile Credit Card you don't have to enter your pen, which can be seen by other customers. This process makes a lot of consumer uncomfortable. Your Cell Phone Charge Card allows more privacy.

Safety- We will no longer have to carry multiple credit cards, cash or checks in our purses and wallets.

There are some perks with this extraordinary invention. Perks that I am sure will out way any concerns. This is the typical way of life for us Americans. We love an easy way out. Keeping things really simple. Most of us have very busy careers and families. For many this will be a blessing. I wouldn't throw away any credit cards and check books just yet. It may be years before we can go wireless completely. But when we do, consider it a permanent vacation. We may never recover.
