Natural Therapies for Cancer Prevention

By Howard Orloff

Being diagnosed with cancer is a life changing experience. No doubt it is one of the deadliest diseases with millions being affected every year. While new cancer treatments are constantly being devised for cancer prevention, its access has been limited due to several reasons like cost of cancer treatments and availability of these treatments in developing countries.

Here we shall see details about natural therapies that help in cancer prevention. This new cancer treatment is cost effective and has proven success rate. It is true that most cancer treatments focus on treating the disease but they ignore one vital point, that is, the connectivity between cancer and internal emotional issue. Natural therapies concentrate basically on this factor. There have been proven cases which were no less than miraculous of cancer cure when patients altered their lifestyle, diet, and excluded stress completely from their life.
The natural therapies concentrate towards unifying the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of a cancer sufferer. Therapies mentioned in ayurveda, acupuncture, homeopathy, Chinese medicines, naturopathy, herbal therapy, moxibustion and others have indeed arrived as mainstream new cancer treatment, in conjugation with conventional medical practices.

These natural therapies extract the underlying cause of the problem and treats at the root level. Mostly, they aim towards balancing energy sources in human body; only with proper balance between ying and yang can cancer be prevented. Studies have shown that stress can lead to cancer. This may sound unreal but it is true. Dissolve stress from your life and you have major respite from cancer formation.

I'm a strong believer in energy medicine. I practice various forms, including EFT (tapping), Tai Chi, Yoga, etc. I am convinced these practices can not only do much to prevent illnesses, but play a major role in curing them as well. Unfortunately, many people ignore prevention and focus on health only when diagnosed with something.

With over 50 years experience as a cancer patient I am always looking to read new information but I do get so annoyed when I see a title like this one.

A therapy for prevention!

You have to decide what you are writing about. A therapy is an attempt to ameliorate or cure a physical or mental problem - you cannot have a therapy to prevent a disease of any kind.

You can have a treatment that will claim to prevent a disease - for example, if you know that your granny ate an egg every day of her life and never had a head ache, you could possibly claim to have discovered a natural prevention (NOT CURE OR THERAPY) for head aches.

I know that cancer patients can sometimes be terrified by well meaning relatives and greedy salesmen into buying stacks of snake oil because of their desperation to seek relief.

My personal experience of clinical trials and personal use of cancer treatments is that many will work for a few individuals, many will aggravate the condition of a few individuals and some will have a reasonable level of success in reducing the symptoms of a significant number of individuals.

Doctors are accepting that there s a psychological problem when diagnosing cancer so they tend not to use the word in their discussions with their patients. Many cancer patients die from the knowledge that they have cancer rather than from the cancer itself or associated illnesses.

Cancer may be a wide spread disease but to term it one of the deadliest is a bit strong. The majority of cancer patients have their disease cured or, like me, learn to live with it - no matter how many forms it might present.

June - I'm glad to see you appreciate the significant difference between cure and prevention - you make an excellent point.

Stress morphs into many designs and ailments and I believe that you are correct in your analysis that stress can lead to cancer. The question is .. how do we eliminate stress from our lives. (Probably my next intel) :)
Well done!
