Content Content Content amd Keyword Density

Content Content Content

Search engines can not read pictures. They rely on content to understand what the web page is about. But, you must have quality content without an overboard of keywords because search engines make look at you with disgust for the spammer and never look back.

Add copy to whatever you feel is necessary to get the readers attention. Copy doesn’t only attract the attention of the reader, but it also attracts the attention of the spiders making it easier for them to establish what the page is about. This, of course, gives you a better chance at coming up higher in the organic search results.

If you have a strictly content website such as article affiliate marketing websites then you want to make sure that your articles are not stored too far deep into your server. Spiders don’t enjoy going through too many directories to get to your file so try to keep it to one directory if not two at the most.

I want to make something very clear. With all of this thinking about pleasing the search engines, it’s important to know that your human audience must come first when creating content. The quality of the content should never suffer for the purpose of creating search engine content. Make sure it reads well, and then worry about optimizing your content.

Keyword Density

Let’s touch back on the 3 to 4 percent. This percent is better known as keyword density. Keyword density literally means the relationship of a keyword phrase to the total number of words on a page. To simplify things, if there are 1,000 words on a page and you have 30 of them as your keywords, than your keyword density is 3 percent, what used to be known as the perfect score.

Now a day I have realized that 3% no longer matters if your competition is doing something else. So the trick is to look at a competitor’s website at the top of an organic search result and find out what their keyword density is. If it’s 7%, than you want to mold your copy around 7% density. If it’s 1% percent, than you want to mold your copy around 1% density.

Get what I mean? It’s obvious that a person on the top of the search results is doing it right. So you don’t want the 3% density if your competitors are all doing 5%. One of the best pieces of advice that I can give anyone looking to raise their organic search results is do the same thing as those who already are at the top spots.

It is important for you to always know that the search engines “organic search results” are the best way to get eager and targeted traffic to your website for free. It is too important of a form of advertisement to not take part in.
